The Craftsmanship Program, which started in 1990, is a nationally recognized, innovative student apprenticeship partnership, between business/industry, education and student/parents, for 11th and 12th grade students seeking technical careers in the manufacturing industry.

The role of Craftsmanship is to deliver a quality educational transition program in the manufacturing environment, by integrating academic, technical and industry- based training.

The program provides the opportunity for the student to gain approximately 1,320 paid industry training hours and 2,100 related classroom technical training hours, spanning a three year period. The program also provides the opportunity for the student to earn up to 30 college credit hours, and up to $6,500 in scholarships.

Students that successfully complete the program are offered full-time positions with their sponsor companies and earn starting salaries at $31,000 - $41,000 per year.
